Phoenix Renovations was originally formed in Atlanta
in 2002 by John French as a sole proprietorship. John, who had earned
a college degree in business, had just left his corporate job to
pursue his interest in home remodeling. Doing most of the work himself,
the
company grew as John’s reputation for quality craftsmanship
got out.
Lee started out his construction career while still
in High School working for a custom home builder in Sarasota, Florida.
He spent
several hot summers assisting the carpentry crew and learning the
trade. His summer work in construction continued while he attended
classes at the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business.
After graduating from college, Lee moved to Atlanta
where he purchased and renovated his first home in Peachtree Park
in 1988. At
that time, home renovating was still a hobby and his day job as
a software developer and project manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises
paid the bills and taught him valuable business, communications,
and project management skills.
Lee continued to buy older homes to fix up and sell.
He had heard good things about a company called Phoenix Renovations
and hired them in 2002 to facilitate his current project. With each
new renovation project though, Lee knew his real interest was in
home building and remodeling. Eventually he left software development
in 2006 to take on a full time career of home building and remodeling,
and joined forces with John and Phoenix Renovations.
John and Lee incorporated Phoenix Renovations in 2006
and both have been enjoying their passion for renovating and building
homes ever since. Their company has grown as word has spread about
the quality of their work, attention to detail, and their easy-to-work
with reputation.
